1 - Emily Garrett: Inside Out Voice

JOY- OIaf

Olaf, from the infamous Disney world of loved characters, would perfectly describe the voice of Joy inside my head because he remains enthusiastic and rarely deciphers negative feelings that impact his ability to maintain that positivity. Olaf also portrays a humorous side and I often show my joy through humor, so his overall personality ceases a great contribution to the voice of joy within my head.

SADNESS- Adele

The profound lyrical genius, Adele, would ultimately voice sadness within my head not only because she is a strong, independent woman who allows herself to feel pain, but also because the way she presents herself is very emotionally intelligent and mature, which are things I am striving to be. Adele embraces her sadness in a way that just urges you to share it with her and I feel if she voiced the sadness in my head, it would describe exactly how I am feeling and express it greatly.

FEAR- Rex (Toy Story)

The anxious toy dinosaur, Rex, from Toy Story will voice the fear aspect of my head mainly because I show my fear in apprehension and uncertainty, as he does. Rex’s whole character is circled around his tendency for speculations, such as questioning everything, and he expresses his apprehension through those, likewise to what I do when I feel within high-stress events. If anyone could understand moments where I am genuinely fearful, it would be Rex and his description of thought would represent the way I showcase fear exponentially.

ANGER- Maleficent

The goddess of darkness herself, Disney villain Maleficent, would give an accurate depiction of anger inside my head based on my own anger being quiet and cold, as her character is shown as mainly numb to any emotion other than that quiet anger. Maleficent’s way of expressing anger is through mischievous acts of revenge and I tend to do the same, but on a much lower scale. She will be a great asset in narrating the voice of anger within my head because while we are different, we are also alike.

DISGUST- Emma Roberts

The actress famous for playing the entitled teen in various films, Emma Roberts, would be the voice of disgust inside my head because her witty comebacks and tendency to be grossed out easily will provide the perspective of a part of me that rarely shows. Her narration will be entertaining and I feel her criticism will allow me to see many things from a different light.

  1. I thought it was interesting how you chose a couple animated characters to play the emotions in your head. I particularly liked the choice of Rex for fear as I think he perfectly embodies the emotion. Great choices and explanations overall.
