1 - Dayanara M: Inside Out Voices

JOY- Spongebob

Spongebob is stupidly happy and is always oblivious to the responsibilities he has. That's why I think he can be the voice  of my happiness

because when I’m happy, I just forget about everything that troubles me. Also his voice sounds giddy even if you don’t know anything else

about his character. Spongebob also continues to be happy even though people try to put him down or tell him that he’s annoying.

DISGUST- Shrek

With his beautiful Scottish accent, Shrek likes to hate on people around him and be rude. He would be my voice of disgust because

I also like to be rude. Shrek judges a lot of people but it mostly stems from the fact that they all judge him too for being an ogre.

Because of the prejudice, Shrek has learned to project his pent up self loathing into pure hate to everyone who engages with him. He

is also green, which would be visually appealing in my little head.

ANGER- Cardi B

Cardi B is a loud woman who throws shoes, which is why she would be a perfect voice for my anger. In her feud with Nicki Minaj, Cardi

stalked her on social media, spoke against her, planned her revenge, and threw luxurious high heels at Nicki at a red carpet event. I too

like to be bitter, and if the opportunity arose, I would also throw an insanely expensive shoe. When she gets mad, Cardi B just insults

her opposition, and I think that is relatable.

FEAR- Joker

I don’t really get scared. I do sometimes have anxieties, but it typically doesn’t bother me. That's why I think Joker is a good voice for

my fear. He’s crazy, and does anything he wants with no hesitation. No one understands his motives, just like anxieties can be

manifested out of nowhere. If Joker was to voice my fears, I think he would use his voice to avoid feeling scared instead of

enabling those emotions.

SADNESS- George Pig

George Pig is the brother of Peppa Pig and is generally regarded as a crybaby. Every time something doesn’t go his way, his eyes burst

into a cartoonish fountain of tears. That’s how I deal with sadness because I just cry for no reason. George is not afraid to let his

emotions show so that's why I think he would be the voice of my sadness, even if all he does is oink. He is never mopey, he just cries

all the time. And after he cries, he’s alright again and continues to be normal.

  1. I found your casting choices to be interesting and thought you did a great job explaining the rationale behind your choices. In particular, I thought your reasoning for casting Joker as Fear was very interesting and well-said. All in all, it was an entertaining piece to read.

  2. Dayanara, I truly loved your choices! Especially the one about George, he is the true embodiment of sadness and that was a very good pick! Your reasoning and explanations were also very well said and was very spot on. Great post!! :)
