Monopoly: From Rags to Riches

Monopoly is a game of decisions, deception and strategy. Throughout the game your objective is
to obtain as many properties as you can land on, develop the properties through hotels and

houses and to bankrupt your opponents. You must be prepared for random actions which can
benefit you or hurt you, for example you can be sent to jail where you have to skip several turns
or you can land on free parking where you can hit the jackpot. You can also acquire several
properties of the same color and along the same row giving you an edge over your opponents
and a defiant hazard to their bank account. Some people also think that luck can be found in
the chess piece you choose – the car, the wheelbarrow or maybe the ship. Monopoly must be
taken seriously and not as a mere game. Families for generations have fought over this intense
game and it has to be played with the utmost planning in mind. You must also know that
monopoly is a game that can take several hours to finish – sometimes days if you have
competitive opponents. Do not plan on playing monopoly in a short amount of time because it
cannot be done. Monopoly is one of my favorite board games to play and I enjoy playing it. My
dad taught me how to play this game and the strategies needed to be the winner. It is a classic
game that everyone will remember one way or the other.
