9-Dayanara Moya- Mississippi Queen

When I was little the only kids channels we had was Nickelodeon, Disney XD, or Cartoon Network. Of course, all the cool stuff was always on cartoon network. When Regular Show came out, I was obsessed. An unlikely fan of the show though, turned out to be my mom. Everyday after school my mom would turn on Regular Show while she cooked or cleaned around the house. It was a good show too, me and my little brother were hooked. Regular Show was about Mordecai and Rigby who were groundskeepers of a park. They get into all types of funny situations as a result of their laziness which angers their boss Benson. The weird characters and even weirder situations make every episode memorable and completely captivating. My favorite character of the show was Rigby the raccoon because I thought he was the most silly out of all the characters. In one episode though, Mordicai and Rigby knock Benson unconscious and take him to a party to impress Benson’s crush Audrey. Later, Audrey’s ex-boyfriend Chuck challenges Benson to a spice eating contest which ends in Benson drinking the Mississippi Queen while still unconscious. The drink is so spicy it makes Benson literally hallucinate and it was crazy. My mom really liked this episode and named her new car “Mississippi Queen”. It’s an inside joke but I brings more significance to how I feel about the show. There are many other shows and cartoons that I shared with my family, but Regular Show still stands out to me all these years later. Word Count 260
