8- Emily G: A Certified Rebel

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is most known for her great representation of women empowerment as the second female associate justice in the Supreme Court of the United States during a time of gender inequality. She shoved her way into the male dominated courtroom and drove an opening of perspectives toward changing the way women were treated, despite the abundance of challenges she faced.

RBG had a very vocal and strong minded personality, which contributed to her many powerful stances taken in the faces of patriarchy. She is often considered as the woman who was never afraid to speak her mind, no matter the place she was in. Many would call her a rebel, as she went against the common ideals of the time that women were supposed to remain quiet and modest.

She gradually moved up credentials due to her convincing speeches and men, such as President Jimmy Carter and President Bill Clinton, seemed to support her involvement based on their role in allowing her to move up. During her time served, she became an ally within gay rights, women's rights, the poor, and many other marginalized groups through the cases she won.

The shift of women receiving full equality and respect from sexist men is still being fought for, but because of RBG, the end of inequality is nearer than it was before her. She was such an important factor within the system of women, workers, and civil rights and her legacy will continue to live on.
